Story time!

Alllllllrighty everyone! Time for a story! But first a story to preface the story.

Many moons ago, whilst browsing the blog section of a website I was a journalist for, I had stumbled upon an entree from a internet acquaintance regarding his copy of Halo 4, and how Amazon (or competing company--I don't remember who he had bought it through) had yet to deliver it to him. One or two weeks after the initial launch of the game, he was understandably quite frustrated with the company. Where was his copy? Why hadn't they delivered it yet? Why was Master Chief left to float around the galaxy in the butt piece of Forward Unto Dawn? These answers and more were left dangling in a passing breeze due to the lack of coordination of one company. Being a Halo connoisseur myself, I understood his pain. I am a pretty big fan of the series (I somehow even managed to get an unprovoked happy birthday from Halo's multiplayer announcer on my last birthday twitter.com/TehFoxyNoxy/status… and upon reading his post I had found that I had already played through the campaign. Twice.

In this particular blog post he went on about the communication he had gone through with the company, their response, his response, and so on and so fourth; however, he had left one vital piece on information up on this blog. The address in which his copy of Halo 4 was supposed to be sent to. Realizing his mistake a few hours later, he removed his address from the post. (You really shouldn't ever leave your home address anywhere online, kiddos).

I, being super duper quick, had already nabbed it. Creepy? Out of context, I suppose so. In context, brilliant! Oh, the plans I had. One other detail you should know about my internet acquaintance--he and I were both in the "Bronies" group on this website we were members of. Working quickly, I created a certain silly image, printed it out, and mailed it to him. Attached was also a letter in sloppy handwriting that said something along the lines of: "Sorry about the delays on getting you your package, hope it didn't cause too much of a inconveneinc inconvieniencee inconveeneance problem. ~Derpy Deliveries"

He received my little print, sent me a message exclaiming how he had no idea what to expect when I told him that I was sending him something. And that he loved it. Success!

A few months go by, and suddenly I have a new message in my inbox asking if I was still at the address that was in the return address field of the package I sent him. Interested and excited, I said no, and that I was moving soon but didn't have a new address yet. He held onto whatever his plan was for about another month or so, and then finally, last night, I received a package. Excitedly, I ripped open the container with the brutal delicacy of a wild buffalo in an ice skating competition.

SO, just what did README.txt say? What else was on this mysterious jumpdrive? VIRUSES?! No. Pinkie wouldn't lie, silly filly.

Okay, so what else? FREAKIN' THIS.

So, let me get this straight; you made a 17 panel comic involving Pinkie and my OC, printed it out, sent it to me from halfway across the world, referenced me through the 4th wall, gifted me a 16gb flashdrive from Pinkie through the 4th wall, all to elude to ANOTHER comic made in flash contained on aforementioned flashdrive. WUT.

What does how do make words too said oh my need to can't thank enough.

:icontediium: Jordan, I have been thoroughly 1-up'd. BUT THIS ISN'T OVER.

TL;DR - Friendship is Magic.
